Contractor Accreditation Limited
The Contractor Accreditation Limited (CAL) mission statement is “to raise standards and engender confidence in the Northern Territory’s Building and Construction Industry through a peer-assessment based accreditation scheme that is owned and operated by the industry.” The Northern Territory government requires CAL accreditation as a pre-qualification for most contractors seeking work above the value of $50,000. CAL accreditation provides a framework for the building and construction industry to regulate itself by applying its own standards. This helps provide a level playing field for genuine contractors.
Civil Contractors Federation
Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) members are responsible for the construction and maintenance of Australia’s infrastructure, including roads, bridges, pipelines, drainage, ports and utilities. The Civil Contractors Federation is an organisation registered under the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009. It is governed by a National Board comprised of member-elected representatives from each state and territory.
