In June 2015, MCE were awarded the project NWD00178-14 – Palmerston – Construction of DN750 Roystonea Avenue & DN450 Callanan Road Water Main Cross Connections.
Scope of work:
- The construction of approximately 165 m new DN450mm MSCL water main along Callanan Road, from an existing stub just south of Georgina Crescent/Callanan Road intersection, crossing Temple Terrace and connecting into the existing DN450mm and DN750mm mains along Temple Terrace. The Temple Terrace crossing was thrust bored with a 70m long OD 1035 MS Sleeve… The connection to the existing DN750mm main along Temple Terrace was excluded from the current scope of works
- The construction of a new DN300mm PVC-M and DICL water main to replace the existing DN300 asbestos cement pipe along Callanan Road from the existing water valve pit just south of Georgina Crescent/Callanan Road intersection up to an existing valve within the Temple Terrace Road reserve.
- The construction of approximately 265 m of DN750mm MSCL water main along Roystonea Ave from an existing DN600mm stub near The Boulevard/Roystonea Ave intersection, crossing Temple Terrace and connecting into an existing DN1100mm flange located just south east of the Roystonea Ave/Temple Terrace intersection. The Temple Terrace crossing was thrust bored with a 43.4 m long OD 762 MS sleeve.
